We had a planning / debrief meeting today. The consensus was that it went well and most were happy with their location and exposure. We put up fewer easels to start as we have more tables being used by artists this year and wanted the space to be easier to walk around and enjoy what there is to see.
We also talked a lot about what we’d like to see for sessions next season, and one of them is going to be a more comprehensive drawing and perspective day with Doug, and Lynn will do a watercolour techniques class for us as well, and hopefully a few other drawing and techniques classes.
We also discussed our finances and decided where we would be donating our excess funds for this year, so we’ll be donating to the Cobijo in San Jose again this year, as well as Seguro Y Sana, which Lynn is spearheading and for which we all feel is a great cause!
As we didn’t do any Art today there aren’t very many photos.
This one Lynn thought she needed to practice her perspective after Doug’s class last week and here is her result:

We also had a visitor, Ariana, from the show come today to see what our Monday meetings are like, she’s been doing Mandala’s with wood carving, and this is one she’s been working on. Looking forward to seeing how she finishes it off, possibly with some woodburning or colour, she’s unsure yet. We’re looking forward to having her come to more meetings

Next week Terri is going to do a Watercolour class for us! So come prepared with paper, paints (if you have them, if you don’t we’ll share!), brushes, etc. Terri will send out a supplies list late in the week.
Only two more meetings left after today, boy the season went fast!
