July 2023 Show and Share

Terri has been busy and below are a couple of her recent works. She loves to make herself crazy by doing watercolors on canvas! Enjoy!

Also a reminder to get busy on your Summer Homework!

Elaine Elliot responded to Terri’s Homework Reminder email and indicated she has some faux masters (summer homework).  However Elaine’s creative juices have her, and i quote,  “caught up in these male subject collages!” (2)

Tell me what you think; I just could not stop looking at it.  Elaine calls it:  “Frankly, my dear”

We have had some more submissions since we posted Elaine’s two pieces above. Here are a few more for you to enjoy!

Spoonbills at the Estuary Tryptic by Kimmer, reflections are awesome! (So is the rest too!)

Brenda’s Homework – a Replica after Edward Manet, turned out great!

Constance’s Homework – her take on a Georgia Okeefe (yeah, she was known for her female anatomy in her works)

Jan Talbert’s mixed media and collage – her take on Mona Lisa (cool use of multiple medias and some transfers)

and some sculpture from Colleen. (Elaine, see what you and Bruce have started!!!!???) – Gertie Birdie, air dry clay over rebar armature.

From Shirley – two breathtaking abstracts which are on display at her local gallery for the summer show.  Expand the photo and move around the pieces.  They just invite the viewer further and further inside the many layers and textures.  Terri commented that it’s like looking into the universe.  We are amazed at how that is accomplished.
