KC Jones presented a seminar and workshop today about working with Acrylic paints. She discussed the origins of acrylic paints; media for canvas / surface preparation; what the various mediums do to the paints; preparing a stay wet palette; laying out your paints; drawing in your main features and blocking in your lights and darks.

We all tried out modelling paste; black and white gesso; and seeing how the paint worked on each surface. Some even started a painting!

A great presentation and we all learned something!
